yall can see my list of mods in my sig
i am getting 3.73's next week and i need to know if i would need a regular tune from a local guy who knows his stuff or a tune on a dyno ... i know the dyno tune could yield more power but are we talking like 5-10 more over a regular tune or like 25 more
input ..... GO!!!

you aught to know the answer to this......you can go to a track and get pretty close on your tune. if your looking to squeeze all the power out of a setup you gotta dyno tune. its the only way to find those 3,4,5 hp kickers that add up to an extra 40-50 hp when its all said and done. another thing to remember, a regular dyno isnt going to help you on your partial throttle and cruising tune. you need a steady state dyno for that. they can vary the load and you can dial in your map in to perfection.

Question, after the gears do you have any other future plans/mods in mind?

Then yea I would go ahead and tune it.
I was going to say if you plan on camming it sometime soon, I would hold off on the tune but you make it sound like its going to be a long time. Till then you might as well want it to be running as best as you can.

just start buying parts, set em aside and put em in all at one so ya only need one tune. that what i did (getting dyno tune next sat). but if ya wanna do the gears now and wanna get every single HP ya can, then get a dyno tune

with just bolt ons and gears i would think a good mail order would suffice. Is your car obd1 or obd2? if its a 94-95 you could just buy a cable and use tunerpro and make the necessary adjustments for the gears and it would only cost whatever you paid for the cable theoretically.

I would have your guy tune it on a dyno and get all you can out of it!
