pulled my check engine codes today and hoping someone can help direct me to what parts these are and their function. I pulled code 29 (ODM) output driver module and 43 (ESC) elec spark module. If I am thinking right the esc is part of the opti? Thanks in advance for the help.

also a little background about the car. When the engine came out no codes and light were on. I have gone over all the connectors and checked them. Car idles normal and runs okay except when cold it wants to load up sometimes driving easy at low rpm. My 1-2 shift in the trans is really really delayed and very soft, not sure if its related or not. other than that it runs great.

its a 94 camaro lt1 a4. looks like from what i am reading 43 is the knock sensor. Also I have noticed another problem, the coolant fans come on when the car first gets started even cold.

Fans being on could be having the a/c or defrost turned on. Try starting it with stuff off.

thanks firebat, that was really helpful. Looks like I am headed to the parts store. Knock sensor is broken and air pump was unplugged.
