Ok guys, I am working on the final touches for the mazda in my sig... I have a slight issue though. I want to know since in turns over, fires up, starts to idle then dies every time if that sounds like Vats to you all? It is all out of a 93 camaro, so its a flippin chip. I have no way to check it out and see if it was tuned out ,as well as the emmisions stuff, like I was told when I bought the setup. I have checked all of my work and its the only thing I can think of that it can be. Any ideas or input into the situation is welcome.
Thanks all.

That should not be VATS. If it were VATS it wouldn't even crank.

When you did the swap did you keep VATS? Since it is a 2 part process one relay for the starter and another part that sends a signal to the PCM, it is possible for it to start and die after a short while.

I'm not sure how the 93 PCM is tuned other than a chip is burnt and installed. I don't know if you need to buy a chip or if you can hook a computer to the diagnostic port to see if VATS is turned on.

Ok, yes the VATS is two part. But, being that the car is missing the resistor in the cylinder and associated wiring to the ECM, I would decidedly say that it's NOT vats that's your issue.

Is the car dropping spark or fuel pressure? Does it stay running if you throttle it?

It is losing power to the injectors just as soon as it fires

I am saying it is probably because the PCM is expecting a signal from a VATS module that is no longer there. Of course I could be way off, I'm still an amateur to tuning the PCM :monkey:
