A/C Compressor Help

My cooling system started to tick when I parked this morning. I came back home an hour ago and it worked fine.

But anyway, I'm worried that I'll blow out the seals and have to replace my A/C Compressor. Any help?

*Car was warmed up when it started to do it, and only did it when the cooling system was on. Louder during Max A/C and quieter when on defroster.*

Theres really not much you can do if its starting to go, if in fact its the compressor.

Use it until it dies and look for a cheap used one that still works :D

I have my old a/c system that worked just fine out of my 94.. I'm pretty sure the compressor would work in your car, doubt there is any difference.. If you want it just let me know..

Changing from max AC to defrost...your compressor doesn't know the difference. Are you sure it wasn't just the fan motor? When you have it blowing just outside air out the dash vents does it still make noise?
