I am looking for someone that can look at a datalog from my boosted 93 LT1. I am having issues with the car pulling at 3rd gear and up. 1st and 2nd feel pretty good. I was told that i might have too much or too little of timing in the higher gears. If anyone could just look at the datalog and let me know what you think,if you notice anything out of place ya know. Hope someone can help. Thanks!

Oh, Whats the AFRs? I know your car now after reading your posts. Have you modified the tune at all? Have you put in injectors? How much boost? What all have you done to it since you got it? I remember looking at it a year ago and talking to Chris about tuning issues. Hell my old 70mm setup, with NO TUNE made 426rwhp/511tq on a stock motor with just an aeromotive FPR and a Bosch 044, no injectors (DUMB). A HX40 on a rear mount shouldn't bee too far off that, I'd say it might be more of a mechanical problem unless the tune's been messed up.

Yea i put in 30lbs. SVO's, Walbro 255,new fuel filter, an aeromotive FPR, MSD boost timing master, had Solomon retune it with a 1 bar(thats what he wanted to do-not me). New MSD 8.5's, plugs,Opti, coil,ICM and a Wideband(i can't remember what else). The car runs good now but it just doesn't pull like it should. When i got the car it wouldn't even run cause he put in the 30lbs injectors(without re-tuning) and the FMU was messed up so the car had 85lbs. of fuel pressure at the rail LoL! It's takin a while to get all this figured out but i gotta get this tune looked at.
It's running about 6-7psi of boost. At wide open throttle its major rich through. Chris told me he had it running good then he said it went south, but i don't think he ever got it running good,i think it always had problems.
I also had to rebuild the turbo and re do the drain cause it was smoking like a train cause it had so much oil build up and nowhere to go.

Awesome dude, sounds like you fixed all the things that needed fixed. Being SD IMO you need a 2bar MAP. Your car has no idea whether or not its making boost. Personally I'd have moe tune it or talk to MadZ28. I might ask Moe how much it would be to fly up here to tune a car sometime. If you get this figured out that'd put you at your 400rwhp goal pretty easily if you ask me.

Ion's a great guy to deal with.

I would never let solomon do a boosted tune period. For the run around I had with my tune and not really able to drive it with the tune. I ended up doing the tune myself actually. Sorry solomon but to do a boosted tune on a 1 bar is plain stupid. On top of that there is no way for solomon to do a boosted tune and know the a/f ratio. Unless tied into the datalogs using datamaster. So you are basically driving a over rich or lean car. Risking the motor the more you drive it. Also if you are close to that power level as the other guy 30's are to small for your application.
Who recommended that small of a injector in the first place? As I was maxing 42lb svo's aka green tops out at 4800rpms on the 383 doing only 4 psi from the procharger. Which when I mean maxing out they were clipping. Which netted 543whp and 48x ftlb's at the 4800rpms.
Another thing to look at you are saying this your problem is in the higher gears. Where spark blow out may be likely. I am not to sure on your setup. But I run a msd 6 btm with the rest of msd ignition. The tr6 plugs gapped at I believe .034 as I was having blow out problems with the gap open more.
Another thing not being rude. But na motors are one thing. Boosted motors aren't something to play with. Not knowing what you are doing or driving on a shit tune hitting boost. Isn't something you should be doing. As one thing goes wrong and you are screwed almost every time as soon as it happens.

He did my base tune I'm going to start off with. Seemed like a good dude.

Definitely good info here! TR6s are what I run also, .32 gap. and he's dead on about the 1bar tune. 30s are better than stock, but still a bit small also. I'm running 80s now lol.

I won't have Solomon tune it again. We data logged back and forth with new tunes for about a month and a half and i told him it wasn't getting any better. Then he said we could go to a 2 bar but wanted me to start all over again and pay to start a 2 bar tune and i was like f*** that. I had already spent a ton of money with him because everytime something wasn't right he wanted me to replace this and that and i did. So i won't go that route again. I know the 30's are too small but i got them with the car so i used them. I am running TR6's also. What is "blow out"?
I know i am just a newb when it comes to this but everyone has to learn somehow. You don't just start messing with something and know absolutely everything about it. Sorry i'm not doing everything how you would but i can only do new things as i learn them. When i got the car it was already turbo and screwed up and i'm not much for giving up on something so i will keep trying and learning as i go.

I prefer Bryan Herter from PCM's for less. I agree with 2fast4u, you need to have someone who has experience in doing this.
Bryan was able to safely tune my LT1 in my sig that still uses the factory PCM. Gave me a good mail tune to be able to drive it out to him for the full dyno tune. He did an amazing job. Whenever I need a tune, he's the only guy I go to.
