I WAS ORIGINALLY LOOKING TO PURCHASE AN S60 REAR FOR MY 94 T/A BUT CAME ACROSS THE MIDWEST CHASSIS 9 INCH. JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE IS RUNNING THIS WITH THE FULL MIDWEST SUSPENSION? I PREFER TO PURCHASE COMPLEMENTING PARTS FROM THE SAME COMPANIES AS LONG AS THEY WORK. I HAVE ALSO TALKED TO MADMAN@CO AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE A HOUSING ASSEMBLY ON THE WAY. I KNOW THERE SUSPENSION STUFF WORKS. MIDWEST SEEMS TO HAVE A BETTER PRICE BUT I JUST WANT TO BUY PARTS THAT I CAN USE NO MATTER HOW CRAZY I BUILD THIS THING.

I dont really think you should have a problem with any 9" housing. Either one you get they are going to have the brackets and mounting points in the same place. I think the fab 9 is a custom housing though. I have a moser housing with Umi suspension and coil overs with no problems.

instead of ordering bmr this and umi that i was going to purchase lca/ panhard rod from Eric. i had seen several people had used his housing but not any with the other parts. my goal is to build this as a 5.60 1/8th car for a local class and don't want to waste money on parts that wont get me 1.20ish 60'.are all of the rod end suspension pieces the same in terms of performance at the track or are there certain manufacturers that will perform better.

I have all rod end aluminum tubular stuff. You can buy the parts and assembly it all your self on the cheap but at the same time its noisey as fuck and clicks n clunks with the spaces n what not for the rod end.
I may be interested in selling my stuff to get the umi stuff to quiet my car down a bit. But it would take alot to make my car more street freindly with a locker coil overs rod end suspension its a beast

I AM LOOKING TO DO THIS THIS OCTOBER. WITH THE LEAD TIME FOR THE HOUSING ASSEMBLY ANYWAY, I WON'T SEE IT TILL SEPT SO I FIGURE I WILL WAIT AND GET EVERYTHING FUEL SYSTEM,TRANNY, ETC. ALL DONE AT ONCE. I AM AFRAID OF PICKING PIECES THAT I'LL END UP REPLACING AND I'VE BEEN DOWN THAT ROAD. I KNOW THAT THE RIDE IS GOING TO SUCK BUT I HAVEN'T DRIVEN THE CAR SINCE I BOUGHT IT 2 YEARS AGO. I BOUGHT AS AN ALL OUT RACE CAR BUILD SO I WOULDN'T KEEP BEATING ON MY IMP SS. NOW I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT ON THE WEEKEND CRUISE OR 30 MILES TO THE TRACK IF I CHOOSE. WITH ALL THE DIFFERENT BRANDS OUT THERE IT CAN BE ALMOST TO MUCH WHEN YOUR TRYING TO CHOOSE WHAT YOU NEED. THAT IS WHY I SIGNED UP TO PICK YOUR GUYS BRAIN AND I GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT.

i think that the midwest stuff will be nice and do the work. and its all considered add ons to the rear and you can't beat the price of their "add ons"

The S60 is a direct bolt in and will take ANYTHING you can throw at it. :claps:
I like the MWC stuff but the UMI comes powder coated red:devil: and it all works the same. I went with Poly end stuff cause I cant stand clicks and clunks

I'm the same way with the clicks and clunks on my cars but I feel like the rod end style stuff is the only way I can get to my goals. I want to buy the hard parts once. That way my motor can take all the rest of my money. The thing that I struggle with is building the car chassis first and end up with a race car chassis w/bolt on power. I'm figuring it will ride rough but the final product will make me forget about the ride. I just hope that comes sooner than later. I did the front end chassis k-member,upper/lower control arms, afco coilovers and all boltons and it has sat for 2 years waiting for the rear parts. It's time to jump back in.

I've got Eric's stuff under my car and have no complaints. The only thing that makes any noise on my car is the drag bar. Before I got it I was using the stock sway bar and it felt like the 10 bolt was still under the car. Any of the previously mentioned rears will handle your power goals. I was going to get an S60 from Eric and got to talking with him about his setup and the deal he could make with all the suspension parts, an hour later I got out the credit card!

The S60 was the way i was going to go for ease of install also but I really want the 3.89 gear and Eric gave me the weight savings of his rear w/alum. center sect. and I also have the card ready. I am waiting till fall b/c i wont get the rear till sept anyway. My only hesitation was wether to buy his suspension pieces or go with bmr, umi, spohn.

If you use his 9" your gonna need to use his TA as well. He usually will cut you a deal and throw in the LCA's and PHB for less than you could buy them for from another company.

The add ons price he gave me was really good. I plan to go this route. I just wanted to get the opinion of some people who already use his stuff for the suspension pieces. Wasn't sure if there was much of a difference. The more I thiink about, i want to order just to see what the car will do before winter. I don't know if I can wait know.
