I bought a brand new TCI Streetfighter 3000-3500 rpm stall from Summit and I accidentally ordered an LS converter so I've got it all boxed up to send back. Well, my friend told me he has the exact same stall except it's for a 93-97 camaro and works great the only problem is that it was in his transmission when it took a dump on him so he said it needs to be cleaned out or something and a transmission shop can do it. He only wants 250 for it where as the new converter from Summit is 500...which one should I get?

Call Tci and ask them how much for a rebuild. Depends how trashed the trans was to.

Those are garbage converters. Most likely the cause of his transmissions demise in the first place. Never skimp on a converter it will bite you in the ass.

This is what a $300-$500 lock-up converter looks like whether it's from TCI, B+M, ebay, etc, etc.....

I have a vigilante in my Imp ss and love it. I spray 100 shot out of the whole and it performs perfect. passing on the highway or back roads is awesome. Acts like stock on the highway.

^^^ x2 i ran a vigi 3200 it drove near stock on the street, all around great converter, and good customer service, you cant go wrong with a yank, p.i., circle d, etc. tci is a lower end converter company, and are just 4 cylinder covers with new components
