WEll i recently put my rear end back together, with a powertrac locker. when i was drive yesterday in the rain i would give like 1/4 gas to just break loose. and everytime it would spin em...... boom it felt like the right back tire just smashed the fender or somthing, its pretty loud. Also when its dry the tires like to hop a little, they never did that before, did i forget something? i have checked but mabe i missed it. thanks alot guys.

When I put the 9" in my car i went to 4.30 gears and a locker and it was hitting the tires so hard that I was getting wheel hop as well (never had this problem with the 10 bolt and 3.42). It took a set of 3 way ADJ shocks to solve my wheel hop.

What is your pinion angle set to?

Do you have LCA relocation brackets, what direction are your LCA's pointing if your going from the rear mounting point "up" or "down". Is your car lowered? I wouldn't think swaping out carriers would cause wheel hop unless you just weren't putting power to both wheels before. Aslo make sure your tire pressure is the same in both rear tires and you remembered to bolt everything back up and tightend it up!

i never touched the pinion so what ever it is stock? i used my old ring gear. also around turns even if i go slow i get a very loud click.

LCA drop brackets would really help you out as well as a poly bushing in the tq arm...

The click is the normal operation of the lockers. When you go around turns, the wheel on the outside of the turn spins faster than the wheel on the inside of the turn. The click sound is the lockers disengaging to allow the rear wheels to rotate at different speeds. Posi-traction or a LSD (limited slip differential) allow the wheels to rotate at different speeds, but they use clutch packs much like an automatic transmission so you don't hear a click. If you had a spool, your tires would screetch around every corner no matter what because a spool does not allow the rear wheels to rotate at different speeds.
