Let's see what you guys/gals think my car will make.;) I am going Saturday and to get her street tuned and then hopefully sometime the following week, put her on a dyno to see what it will put down.

Car: 95 T/A A4 with Yank 3000 & 3:42 gears.

Engine: Ellwein Racing Engines 383 fully forged splayed 4bolt, Ross blower pistons with unported Dart 180 heads (9.2CR), 58mm throttle body, 1.6 Rockers, 22X/23X Cam, LongTubes, no cats, open cutout, D1SC with twin intercoolers, pulleyed 7.65/3.4 (should be 15psi), MSD digital 6.

I know the heads have more potential, but that will have to come later when I can get more $$$.

Lets hear what you think it will put down. If you need other details, just let me know!!:metal:

550 because you have an auto

490-510rwhp... auto and unported Darts.

Probably make upper 5's to low 6's. Those darts should be quite comparable to my buddies setup with TPIS AFR 185's, and I like the surface specs of your cam.

FastBird, thanks for the D1SC!!

According to AI's website, the "unported Dart 180's flow about the same as a LE1. I am hoping 550+. I guess we will see.:secret:

I think Call 911 is makin 617whp on pump gas with afr 180's and 15lbs of boost. he has a m6 tho, Maybe he can chime in on this one.

I am that buddy  And they are AFR 180's pal :D

It was 614 I did in the upper elevation of PA on a hot July day. Someday I'll get it re-dyno'd at a lower elevation and on a cooler day.

To the OP, you should probably see similar boost level as I am (15#'s on a cool day) depending on what kind of inlet tube and air filter you are running. If you are running ATI's plastic inlet tube and the small air filter that came with the kit, you may end up like I did at first and only see 9#'s of boost. After I swapped to a larger air filter and metal inlet tube, I jumped up to 15#'s of boost. Your auto through a stall is going to bring your RWHP down a little from what a M6 car would pull, but I am guessing if everything turns out right you should be around 525 to 580 RWHP.

Call911's setup did 614rwhp on a mustang dyno in the heat, that would be around 660+ rwhp just on a dynojet regardless, then take into account a cool day .
The main thing with the LT1 procharger setup is a good induction side for the headunit. Guys have seen 4psi difference and 100rwhp gain just by taking the crappy ATI hat/small filter off. With your pulley combo you will have to rev to 6500 to max out the blower, if you want to shift lower and still max the blower out you'll have to change pulleys.

With the Twin coolers do you have the smaller ones of the larger 4.5's?? Heat is what you'll battle with a setup like this. A meth kit will help a lot in keeping the IAT's down.

Well, Finally after 2 years and having to have my engine rebuilt due to an idiot tuning it all wrong and melting a brand new set of Custom Ross Blower Pistons, I have her running and have numbers!! I did make a few changes, Now I have a PY3400 stall and Alkycontrol Meth kit (running meth only).

Car made 588RWHP/657TQ on a mustang dyno. I will post graph soon. Car made peak HP at 5600-5700 and gradually dropped after that! Tuner says the 112LSA is the cause of it not making any power about 5700+/-. If I had a M6 and can make power upto 6500/6700 I could be deep into the 600's!! (I think):D

What do you guys think? I know the car is a blast to drive. 40-50mph burnouts on Nitto Dr's is fun!!:metal:

Holy crap! This is the D-1SC that I sold a couple years back? I just caught this post and can't believe I missed it.

congrats on the numbers, you're pretty much right in line with expectations!! Go chew some ponies up.

Yes, this is your blower!! I am happy with the numbers, just concerned that it quit making power around 5600-5700rpms. I feel that there is a little more on the table to get. Power is like crack, once you are hooked..you are hooked!!

I just noticed that I threw my guess in after only reading page one, and I didnt see your latest update.

Just enjoy it and drive it the way it is.... still gotta break that bitch in.

After a few thousand miles on it, throw in some new plugs and go retune.... looser motor, lil more power.....

That's awesome. I'm glad the kit worked out for you. Did you use the twin intercoolers and everything? I have to laugh because if I'd have kept this kit my car would probably be running by now.

Your low rpm for peak hp is due to a few things:

383ci combined with a small duration cam (22x/23x) as well as unported dart heads. When you see peak tq higher than peak hp on these vehicles, it usually means that then engine isn't reaching its full potential (in most cases). Either way, the numbers you put out are nothing to laugh at, go at there and eat up some snakes.:metal:

I used everything you sold me except the FMU and boost a pump.

Now I am wondering if I send my Dart 180's to Lloyd Elliot and get an agressive cam from him to match, could I make it to 700RWHP with my current set-up. Might have to pulley it down a little more, but I think I could get there:hmm:

RealQuick: your statement matches exactly what the tuner/installer of my engine said about the cam. When talking to Karl Ellwein when he was building my eninge, I told him that I wanted it to last "forever" so he went with this cam so I wouldn't have to spin it to the moon. I am pleased with my numbers, but as everyone else that builds cars like this, you always want more!!

Any suggestions on if I am good where my car makes Peak HP/TQ or do I need a better Cam?? I think there is a lot left on the table here or maybe I am wrong.:(

CALL911

I honestly can't even read what the graph says because its such a small scan.

Your setup should make mid to high 500's at the wheels. I think that is its potential. If you want more than that, then I would look into a larger set of heads.

If you are running Fastbirds D1SC, I would just be happy its running at all....

... just kidding man. Fastbird is a great guy. He and I got D1SC's from the same guy at the same time so it should be just as good as mine, and mines still running strong.

Gotta love the torque spikes on the hit from a nice converter!!!!!! :D

I did 680 rwhp on the stock ECU and basically the same setup you have except for ported stock heads(28Xish cfm), and a different cam. Added Methanol injection, swapped to a FAST XFI setup and did a good dyno tune that netted 730rwhp and 780ftlbs... All through a Th400 and a 9" :secret:

There can be alot of power in that setup with some better flowing heads and a different cam. The lobe sep is hurting you a little bit up top for sure, but you also need more duration.
