'93 Z28 not shifting

hey guys. i'm looking at a '93 Z28, the only problem it has right now is that it won't shift out of park. anybody have any ideas on what could be causing it to not shift???

When you say wont shift out of park you mean.. the handle wont even move or you can go through every gear/reverse/neutral and it does nothing?

the handle doesn't move.

Brake switch bad possibly??? Are you able to depress the button on the shift knob? If you can, then it's not the brake switch.

well actually i just picked it up tonight. i was able to drive it to my storage lot, but it felt like it was slamming gear to gear (detent cable maybe???) the guy i bought it from said that it was pretty hit and miss on getting it to shift into gear.

also, she's running on 7, but still pulls.

well for shifting hard it may have a shift kit in it. otherwise the transmission TV cable may need adjusting

the car is bone stock, so i'm guessing there probably isn't a kit in it.
