Just got car dyno'd. The motor was built for autocross not drag racing, so I was trying for a broad torque curve, which it has. Idle with the CC305 is almost stock.

Here's a list of the mods.

355ci, cc305 cam, ported stock heads, 2.00/1.56 Raceflow valves, 1.6 Magnum Rockers, 52mm throttle body, BBK shortie headers and Y pipe, PCM4less tune, 3" Hooker exhaust

366 hp / 343 torq.

A 100 hp wet shot is being added, which is not useful in autocross racing but might be very useful in embarrassing Hondas!

Very nice, love the torque curve. Looks like you did your homework. No cones!!

I was going for the flat torque curve. For a street or autocross car its much more important than a big horsepower number. I don't have long tubes because the car is lowered so I put the money into the heads. The car has 300 ft-lbs of torque available almost all the time and it still pulls hard on the big end. I'm very happy with the results even though I'm sure there are people making bigger horsepower numbers often that's at the sake of low end torque. The car also has 4.10 gears so it's really a blast to drive. It's actually really overpowered for an autocross car so now I actually have to learn how to drive it!

good numbers, but IMHO that is a poopy TQ curve. it starts to drop right after 5K.... that cc503 can make power 1,000rpms past that, that curve can be much flatter than that. did you data log the car or just stright up mail order tune? IMHO you can see a better TQ with more tuning or proper tunning.

I think thoses numbers are good for the cam...305 is an emissions cam for srying out loud.

The heads were hand ported by a local shop. (Magnum Machine in Chesapeake, Virginia). Now for the really sweet part. Cost to port these in addition to the basic valve job was $400 for both heads. They worked the bowls and did some minor work on the ports. I wasn’t going to get the heads ported but when he said $400 I was thinking it was worth a shot. He’s also done the heads for the president of a local Pontiac club and his numbers are good. The car is great on the street and idles so close to stock you might only think it has a cat-back on it. I was going to go LE or AI heads but I was working on a budget. I definitely think I got my money’s worth!

They main thing is you are obviously happy with your results.. Being on a budget sucks but for the most part that is what the majority of us are restricted to.

From the #s you managed to attain i feel you will have a great time hows your suspension set up?
BTW you will find that cam responds WELL to N2O and or BOOST nicely :)

Thanks,
Suspension is - Eibach pro springs, UMI strut tower brace, 35mm front/22mm rear bars, LCA mounting brackets, BM lower rear control arms, BMR torque arm and panhard bar (both adjustable on car), BMR K-member, BMR front control arms (lower), Bilstein SLP shocks all around - The car is amazing to drive with this setup, I'm still learning the car but its night and day from where it was stock. I isn't a drag car so it won't launch, but it's nasty from a roll. Changing to Hoosier 315's on all 4 corners soon. Brakes will be Corvette C5 Z06 after this weekend (parts are sitting). Oh, and the nitrous works single fogger (100shot) with Mallory 685 box, still needs to be installed.
