I wanted to resurrect this thing from the dead.

It's an LE ported intake, just a stock casting however.

Very brief story...

When I got it:

After I stripped all the paint off, I used Tal-strip. Works like a dream:

I then primed it with some high temp primer:

Then shot it with high temp semi-gloss black with a few coats of clear after cleaning off the top part of the manifold:

I took the time to type up a nice write up, but by the time I hit submit, it had timed me out so I about punched a hole in the wall. This is the reasoning for a short, clean cut version of my previous attempt.

Opinions?

Looks good man

and you should ALWAYS copy a long thread before you post it. Last time I had this happen I broke my mouse with an axe :secret:

Nice pics. Why the hideous color on it before you cleaned it up?

I've done this several times so I guess I should have it figured out by now but I'm rather forgetful, haha.

To be honest, I have no idea. But I felt bad for it so I had to do what I did.

Thanks man, this would look good under your hood too :p

Turns out that car had a few more problems than I thought it did. I easily got enough $ out of it to cover what I had in it so I let it go.

And I've put about 20 miles on my Camaro since October-ish, it won't ever be a daily driver lol.

In fact, I don't even have a DD in my name. I'm driving my brothers Cavalier but he's got it up for sale, so when he sells that, I guess I'll have to license the old Blazer for awhile lol.

Good I was gonna have to take drastic measures on you, if the White one was plowing through snow banks.:metal:

I sure gave the silver car hell trying to get around haha. I bet I had that sloppy 4L60 up about 200 degrees a time or two lol.

I'm trying to decide what I want to do with this rust free 91 Blazer I acquired.

LS1 swap maybe?

Or I could LSx swap the blazer and have a sleeper?

That silver car had electrical issues, suspension issues, coolant loss issues, audio issues, high mileage issues, and so on.

Not worth my time to keep it and keep hanging parts on it :/
