A converter is not something that you want to skimp on. If I were you I would hold off and save your money to buy a nicer one. I prefer to do things right the first time and not have to worry about it later.

Level 3 converters come with a 12 month unlimited mileage warranty. Should any product become inoperable due to a failure in parts or workmanship we will repair or replace the product at no charge.
**Warranty does not cover failures due to exceeding HP limitations or use of trans brake or nitrous on non upgraded converters or by any abuse. Stall speeds are approximations and will vary with amount of input torque! Warranty is non transferable and void if product is opened by any other person(s). Warranty does not cover damage to other components or labor to replace the product!! **
make sure you read that good and understand what your car will have in the future

I meant more in terms if you decide to spray it later if it's not upgraded for it
And I believe it says 500hp so in reality that is at MOST 425rwhp

Like I said, the ad says 500hp which is crank power which equates to 425whp if you have the most incredibly efficient drivetrain.
Technically if it's running right, a 503 with a 125 shot should be at least 420whp

well i called today and talked to them. the guy i talked to really seemed to know what he was talkin bout. i mean im no transmission pro but i am bout to graduate auto tech school and did well in the auto trans class. i went with a 3200 with carbon fiber lock up clutch and antiballooning plates, he dropped the price $20 cause i went with both. so the price was right at 350 shipped to my door. so guess ill see how it does come this spring

Converter is my next step. Yank is more than likely going to be my choice. I was looking at the TCI products (since they did my trans), but I haven't heard the best of things with them. My bird is my DD, so I know I'm already pushing it in some aspects. I'll have to wait and see how it all pans out.

Comments like this can be very misleading. If you go from a STOCK converter to ANY OTHER "stall" converter, the gains will be noticeable which would cause someone to say how amazing it is. The only way to know for sure how good it is, is to test it back-to-back against another converter with the same advertised stall speed. Personally I can't see how good it could be if it is $350 shipped. I would browse racingjunk.com and see what some guys are selling in there. You will find top of the line converters for cheap from guys who are switching setups or getting out of the game.
