I worked for Chenoweth Speed and Machine building big block Mopars for about a year and I frequently go in and talk to the guys still. They have a powdercoated Dana 60 rear end housing from a Ford, and a rebuilt sure-grip posi, he said I could have them both for $500 and they'll set it up. What all would be needed to adapt this to my '93 Z28? Just weld on torque arm mount and LCA mounts? What about spring mounts? And what would I do for axles? I'm assuming I could just get a driveshaft made or have mine modified?

They would do all the welding, which I doubt they would even charge me for, what would I need to do as far as the mounts, just fabricate them myself? Any help is appreciated, if it's way too much work for what it's worth I'll just forget about it, but it would be nice to have that sitting in back instead of a 126k mile 10 bolt

Arnt they a sponsor over on ccs? I think you would use the mounts off your factory rear end. I am proly wrong though

You would also have to check the bolt pattern on the axles, not sure if axles for a Ford will accept Chevy wheel pattern. Most likely the length of the housing will be different. Our 4th gen housings are VERY wide which makes us have to get wheels with a ton of backspacing. I'm not sure how easy it would be to fabricate a torque arm mount either. It might be easier to fab a ladder bar setup.

It may sound cheap for 500 but that thing isn't going to be a simple modify and bolt in deal.

Axles are going to be different. Length is going to be different. My Dana 60 and my 10 bolt had the torque arm mount integrated into the housing, so I don't know how you would buy a "mount kit". They you have to think about LCA mounting, spring mounting, are those in the right place?

F bodies got the shaft when it came to rear ends. Stock they were weak and anything aftermarket you have to deal with the torque arm.
