well im sure alot of people know the feeling these days but money is short and my brain is always running on ways to make some extra cash. I've been working part time at a chassis/fab shop for a few months now and have a key to the shop and a plethera of tools. Ive been doin alot of the grunt work cutting down and narrowing 9'' rears and doing 4 link and coilover setups on them. cutting and putting Ford 9'' ends on mustang 8.8's etc.
I'm thinking of finding a junk 4th gen 10 bolt for the brackets and measurements and a late model big bearing ford 9'' housing and putting together my own bolt in 9'' for a 4th gen fbody. From a cost standpoint it would be pretty easy for me to obtain a few bare housings and put together a bolt in piece that the buyer would then finish with brakes, 3rd member, and axles. you could just order a moser or strange drop in nodular 3rd member for cheap or just find one at the local salvage yard. I could do them stock length or narrowed how ever much somebody would like. I figure i could do a bolt in housing for 500 or less no problem.
Everything would be professionally welded and done on a proper JIG with pics along the way and pics of the final product. would this be something you guys think i could have a decent demand for. Maybe 2 or 3 people interested at first I dont want to get to big with it as it will just be a side project ill be building in my time off.
