Since you have different gears this won't be an apples to apples test. You'll pull less becuase of the gears...M6 or A4?

Non forged and here's why: Those 6" rods will hurt you (weight, and rotating weight at that -- the crank has to spend extra power to move those suckers) not to mention the forged components are heavier than the non-forged. That, and the 4.56 will transmit less to the ground than the 4.10's. I'm betting on the non-forged motor, all other things being equal.

I am for the shorter rods on the non-forged engine making more power. A shorter rod will move the piston faster through the stroke as it rotates creating more velocity in the trough the head when the valve is open.

So many more variables that aren't mentioned. Why the 112 octane? Your cars probably won't like it if they run fine on 91 or 93. What oil do you guys run? How much oil do you run? What air filters? Are they both 10-bolt rears? Is the forged motor balanced and the cast motor a stock untouched bottom end? You guys running the exact same cam? Who assembled each motor? Same valve lash? Same tune? How many miles on each engine?
