Machine Shop Help
I'm looking for a good machine shop that's familiar with LT1's in the area of Delaware, Maryland, PA, or NJ if anybody can help. Tired of these local shops looking at me like I'm crazy when I want anything done and having to explain every single thing to them. Besides I plan on starting my 396 boost build soon and I barely trust these people with a basic valve job let alone anything else. For a good shop I don't mind traveling a couple hours. I'm in DE. Thank for any assistance. Probably be doing a build thread this summer.

Supporting MemberKarl Ellwein, no question. if you want to feel completely comfortable and get exactly what your paying for, with an extremely ocd assembly that leaves nothing to question, he is the way to go. hes down below annapolis in lexington park, maryland.

Karl was only a few hundred more than what my local shops wanted. It was a no-brainer after seeing his work online, even with the 3hr drive. It's hard to find quality work around here when you're just some nobody with a street car and not a race team. Most places act like they have bigger fish to fry.

Ok so I finally got in touch with Karl and he actually more or less just assembles and builds engines. I'm looking for a shop to do just the machine work. He outsources his. I was looking to see if anybody knew any other places that could do that while I await his response on the place that does his. Thanks.
