E85
I have been tossing around the idea of converting my lt to e85. Are the gains worth it ? What do you need to actually do the conversion.

For a FI car, I think you are crazy not to do E85 if you have it readily available. Where I live, a ton of guys run it, and make a lot more hp than they do on premium.
Most of the people you hear saying don't do it, they either know very little about it, or someone at some point told them it will ruin their car.1994 Trans Am GT, stock 28k mi bottom end LE2 H/C/I , 1.6rr, LT4 KM, moroso cai, jet hot lts, hooker y-pipe, slp powerflo, 37# inj, 255 pump, built 4l60e, 2800 stall, spohn/hotchkis/qa1 suspension etc etc.

E85 for a strictly naturally aspirated setup isn't going to gain you huge substantial horsepower vs a good 93 octane tune, however it is a very clean burning fuel and it gives you a lot of room for error on your too. You can get very aggressive with your timing/ afr without too much cause for concern. Probably the biggest advantage that I could see is in the future should you decide to run nitrous you would have a great safety margin. @dawdaw

Crank the SCR up, and run some big injectors, you will make more on E85 than regular.

heh heh heh I'm going to do a dual tune, 1 for pump gas, and 1 for E85, we will see how it does. I do know that on my TPI 327, 10.1 comp, E85 was way way crazzy from the ground to 5800 rpm
