In a Silverado? Lucky, those are hard to find.
01 Silverado 2500HD 6.0L and 4L80E here, 190k on the clock. I've only towed with it a couple times.

yes sir, went to look at a 05 2500 ext cab long box but it was a pile so on the way home I stopped at a friends house for a beer and told him about it and he mentioned his neighbor was selling his truck. didn't even know it was a 8.1 till I popped the hood after the test drive

1982 F100 302 with, was my grandpas since 1984 so unfortunately I cannot get rid of it lol.
And I dont need 2 trucks so ill just keep this one going

Little blue 2001 Silverado extended cab only had a 4.8L V8, but a higher numerical gear ratio and the tow package. Slowed a bit on really steep hills, like Rt 78 westbound, after crossing the Delaware into PA, but otherwise no problems.
