dug out the old brand new accell 30's that we put on @Ltconvert heads cam build 5 years ago. going to see if they work enough to run

observation rant: now that I own an ls car, specifically a g8, I realized I'm still an outcast. with fbodies if it's not ls and turbo, you're not one of the cool kids, and with g8's, if you're not a dbag with holden badges and the same expensive as fuck parts as everyone, you're not one of the cool kids.

I'll still be that guy, building shit with used/"junk" parts and making things work the way I want, for the performance i crave, and not anyone else's approval. got a little complacent there for a bit.

next up after Camaro runs again, new fenders from @kitt8090, used trutrac rear from osie, and some redneck engineered 350z brembo front brakes I have laying around using c5 zo6 rotors.

I feel your pain. When I had the 5th gen, I was mortified by other owners, SPECIFICALLY in the Lehigh Valley. You didn't fit in unless you had underglow, lambo doors, and a Paul Walker sticker on the car. Or some kind of stupid mural painted on the hood or under it. I've never seen so much tacky crap installed on a car. It turned me off of the platform completely, even though I miss driving my old car all the time.

G8's are in the affordable bubble right now where all walks of life are picking them up and doing things to them that were beaten to death almost 10 years ago. It's really just a vicious cycle with the car scene in general and it boils down to what the car is worth. You should see the people coming out of the woodwork in the V2 scene now that high mile V's can be had in the upper 20s.

I'm all about making things sound, run, and look how you want it. At the end of the day, who cares.

Thats exactly what i was gonna suggest. Cf or mirror vinyl. The splotter rods will add some aggressiveness as well.
