Ok question time,
how much boost can a stock LT1 crank handle?
what piston material would stand up to boost better 4032 or 2618?
how much more horsepower will a 383 make over a 350 with an equal amount of boost?
I'm also thinking about putting the procharger on my current engine how much boost would be relatively safe on an 11-1 hotcam engine?

2618 trumps 4032 all day.
Cornfedlt4 here was running 9s on a stock short block on 20 psi. You'll get multiple different opinions saying it's not safe or 15 psi etc but seems like most feel 6 to 8 psi is a safe zone tuned appropriately on a healthy short block.
11 to 1 is pretty high for a boosted application. Only way I see it living for a bit is maybe the use of e85 and keep the timing relatively low but your shooting yourself there.

2618 is less brittle than 4032, much better for boost
the stock crank is very strong, never heard of anyone BREAKING it but don't know of anyone trying to make crazy power with it either.
383 vs 350 is hard to answer... generally speaking the 383 wont make much more HP but it'll do it at a lower RPM with more lower RPM torque.
boost on 11:1 CR? not worth it IMO. You'll need to run very low boost and timing. Eventually you'll want more power and will either have to rebuild the engine for boost or break it.1989 Mazda RX7 Turbo II, 357ci LT1, AI TFS CNC heads, Garrett GTX4708R, Ford 8.8" SAS, TH400. (Current project)
