Any IPod Experts?
So I bought an IPod Touch on CraigsList (not locally though, I used CraigsListHelper.com and found someone willing to ship). He said it was like new and he had erased everything off of it. He also said it would include earphones and an Ipod cord - well today I got the package and all it contained was the Ipod Touch.
Well that's really no big deal, those things are pretty cheap. But the mother fucker sent me a locked Ipod. Whenever I turn it on, it asks for a password and whenever Itunes tries to open it, it tells me to unlock the Ipod first.
I tried contacting him, but of course, nothing.
I've tried a couple things I've seen online, but I can't seem to figure it out. Can anyone help out?ThatAdStudent.com - Advertising and Graphic Design Blog

then release the lock button but keep holding the home button for another 10 sec.

Sounds to me like he stole it and then sold it locked.
Good luck though, hope you get it figured out.1997 Trans am- M6- Ebay Longtubes, Summit X pipe with Magnaflows, CAI, Adj LCAs with relocation brackets, Comp engineering shocks, Competition stage 2 clutch.

Let us know what the end result is. Worst case, call apple support and they can help you with stuff like that. You can just tell them you forgot the unlock code or something.

I have a stupid question.
If someone's ipod is stolen and they report it to apple, can it be tracked when it is connected to Itunes again?1997 Trans am- M6- Ebay Longtubes, Summit X pipe with Magnaflows, CAI, Adj LCAs with relocation brackets, Comp engineering shocks, Competition stage 2 clutch.

I get that to happen. But when I plug it into the Laptop, Itunes doesn't come up or anything. Even when I open ITunes manually, it doesn't connect to the Ipod.
That sounds like what probably happen.
Apple doesn't unlock Ipods, but they will unlock computers and laptops. I guess they figure Ipods are too easy to steal.
I know when it comes to Laptops, they do not. Not sure about Ipods.ThatAdStudent.com - Advertising and Graphic Design Blog
