    Default Aftermarket Radiator

I'm having problems keeping my 396 cool in traffic. Currently running an ebay aluminum 3 core which seems pretty well constructed. I also have a new stock radiator and they both pretty much act the same.

I don't mind spending the money on a good radiator as long as it solves the issue. What's everyone's experience on DeWitts, ECP, BeCool, etc?

Stock fans? I have a Griffin radiator in my car with a pair of flex-a-lite fans that move way more air over stock. It may be worth trying a different set of fans versus swapping the radiator. Or do both and call it a day. I have no experience with the brands you referenced, but I'm sure they would perform the same or better than the ebay rad.

Do you have the AC installed? The reason I'm asking is because I have mine completely ripped out and there are huge gaps by the radiator end tanks. The stock shrouding to prevent the gap only works with the condensor, so I was thinking about making my own shrouds using garolite sheets to force more air through the radiator core.

Another thing I noticed is that my engine bay gets super heat soaked with my Harwood. I used to have a cowl hood that had a huge opening by the wiper cowl, but the Harwood seals to it instead. I'm going to cut some vents in the back to see if it helps.

yea, i have ac. I'm running a WS6 hood. I've actually been considering swapping to a cowl hood. Or at least remove the hood seal

Sadly I do not. I bought the rad/fan combo from someone many years ago when they were parting out their car. Similar to these: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/flx-105422

I also had the mounting location changed of the rad. Check out my lengthy build thread (link in sig) for pictures. I finally got around to installing the BP Automotive fan controller "recently."
