Supporting Member58mm Nitrous plate on stock throttle body?
Random question. Have a Nitrous Outlet 58mm plate kit sitting here, but I do not want to run an aftermarket throttle body, really have no use for an aftermarket throttle body (stock longblock car, dont need the tuning headaches).
If I open up the intake to match the 58mm plate, in theory the plate should work fine i believe, since there would not be a restriction downstream of the plate. but what does everyone else think?
only up to a hail mary shot of 150hp. probably be jetted for 100hp on a progressive most of the time.

You could blend the inside of the TB up to the 58mm
Correlation does not imply causation.

Your going to get some turbulence from the sudden enlargement from 48mm TB to 58mm. Could help mixing, could hurt. The plate isn’t that great for insuring uniform delivery of fuel and nitrous to each cylinder. Fuel droplets have a harder time turning 90-deg into the intake runner than gas molecules. Second Street discouraged using a plate even for my dry system, and I had a 58mm TB on a 58mm manifold.

Supporting Memberits kind of what i have laying around though, trying to budget a little bit. so a fogger nozzle in the elbow would be better than a plate since it would have more time to mix?
im not going direct port unless i REALLY like nitrous when i fund the built bottom end.

open the intake to 58.....you can use a stock TB at that point.
