02 sensor
I have a 97 z28 heads,cam,long tubes. Tuned by pcm for less. I am replacing both 02 sensors with ACDelcos. My question is should you reset the computer after install and if so the best way to do it?

"PCM BAT", not PCM IGN.
Should clear in 30 seconds.
I think they put the PCM BAT fuse back in the instrument panel box in 1996.

Ok, I need help. Rpms are dropping to 500 or less and sometimes engine stalls when stopping at red light etc. It used to idle a little high when stopped for a sec or two then dropped to normal. In 6th gear it is definitely stumbling at low rpms and when going through the gears its very sluggish until around 4500 rpms then you can literally feel it pick up and haul. Only codes I have ever had is 02 heater bank 1, hence the reason for new 02s. I cleaned injectors and checked all plugs which looked good but maybe 2 was questionable.

How long has it been doing this? When was the pcmforless tune done? Have you scanned it for codes since you replaced the O2 sensors? Do you know where he set the target idle speed? How big is the cam?
In 6th gear at low RPM.... how low? Trying to accelerate in the deep overdrive 6th gear puts a huge load on the ignition system. Any weakness will show up. The tune could also affect it. How many miles on the plugs? What plug and what gap? What did the two questionable plugs look like? How old are the wires?
Does the engine still have the crankshaft position sensor, used for misfire detection? That is sometimes disabled with a cam, because the cam affects the crank rotational velocity pattern.
You might want ask a moderator to move this. Its in the forum for "... any engine that is not an LTX"

Yes, unless that can be tuned out and if so I don't know if he did or not.
How do you ask a moderator to move subject?
Thank you!

@meissen
I think this would get more responses if it was in "LTx Engine Tech"
