Performance Shops in the DE area
In the spring i'll get my inspection issues sorted out and my next step is (maybe) a head and cam package. Are there any good performance shops in the area that can check the current condition and possibly do the job? I've reached out to several places but unless its an LSx none of the performance places are interested. I don't want to take it to some random shop that's not familiar w/ performance engines.

I'm in Middletown DE so they're about 2hrs away. If that's my only real option maybe i'll make the hike. I'm willing to pay a bit extra for good work.

Kinda depressing that's it so hard to find people to work on these cars. If its not an LS it seems like we're pretty much out of luck

Are you against doing it yourself? It's not that hard if you take your time and plan it out. Can be done in a weekend or 2.

I've tried on other cars in the past but i must have some genetic defect that will not allow me to find TDC I never seem to get readings that make any sense. Seemed easier to pay a qualified shop to just bang it out in an afternoon and get real numbers. I guess i'll have to give it another go however since i dont see any other real options. Have to find a compression tester and leak down tester that are reasonably priced i guess.
