NJMP Lightning went OK. I was having issues getting into 3rd gear during session 2 so I ripped the Tremec shift boot off of my Pro 5.0 shifter as it was getting jammed between the linkage and stop. This Pro 5.0 never came with a boot on the top so it collects road debris, so I stretched a Tremec one over it after putting the trans in -- big mistake. Everything was great after ripping it off. I wasn't expecting to break any records, but I did manage to come within 0.03s of my PB by the end so I considered myself fully warmed up.
Car made the trek to Watkins Glen and back without too many hiccups. These were 30 minute sessions and my brakes would start fading badly after 15-20 mins which made the track more terrifying than it already is. My car also started dumping fuel again after a couple sessions and you can see the wideband reading in the low 10s. Either I fried another Bosch sensor, the AEM UEGO is crapping out, or my car is actually dumping a shitload of fuel. I think the latter is what's happening because people told me I started shooting flames again lmao. I would also burn more than 5gal in each session.
I'll upload a longer vid with more footage at some point. I got chase around a couple Porsches.
Next up is probably a TNIA at NJMP Thunderbolt next month. The track was repaved over the winter and is a couple seconds faster, so I need to get there and set a flyer before my coworkers catch up (I'm the current record holder at work lol). I'm gonna fab some brake ducts, bleed again, and try to figure out why the tune BLM locker isn't working all the time before that. Then I'll get back to putting the cage in.Last edited by Catmaigne; 04-29-2024 at 10:34 AM.

Man that was awesome, you was smokin the Glen. Really good driving and great video, it was like being in the car.
Thanks for sharing.

I swapped out the WBO2 sensor and the fueling is fine, I guess I was shooting flames from all that LT1 powah. These Bosch sensors are trash.
Gonna try fabbing up some brake cooling deflectors and replace the caliper dust boots before Thunderbolt in 2.5 weeks. The brake fade I was getting at The Glen was awful, but that track is super tough on brakes. Thunderbolt should be a lot easier.
Some photos from The Glen...

There's no room up front to mount deflectors, let alone ducts. Trying to come up with a deflector mount that clamps around the sway bar, thinking of something like this with a hose clamp around the milled mount:
