Un ported heads record
I didn't dig very deep admittedly but I was curious if anybody knows what the fastest somebody has gone with cylinder heads that are stock as cast ... what I mean is no porting no polishing Factory valves ... nitrous / turbo
This last weekend i went 10.177 @128mph and i started thinking rhat with a little more tweaking i can go 9s on stock as cast heads
I'm curious as to if anybody else has done that?

The reason it was popping and banging was I was hitting my rev limiter a little bit on shifts ... I went from having a bone stock th400 in the car to the transmission I built so the shifting has changed a little bit.
The best 60' has been 1.333 and the best 1/8th mile has been a 6.409 ... hopefully with some adjustments I can get a 6.39 or better94 Formula "budget build" #thebeaterbird

Wow that's hittin' a lick!!
Looks like it could use a good anti roll bar as well!

That's what I'm doing this winter safety equipment and suspension. In the video above obviously there's no anti roll bar however there's also no subframe connectors or roll cage. So next year at the drag strip my 60-foot time should improve a little bit by making the chassis more rigid. we'll see how much metal I can take off the car and counteract the additional weight. I weighed my roll cage and subframe connectors because I haven't installed them just yet but it came out to 120 lb. So once everything is installed I'll get to introduce my car to mister Sawzall and hole saw.

IIRC Skinny (sp?) was in the 10s with his turbo car that had stock heads/intake manifold/cam but I don't recall exactly.
