I'll take the driver's seat. Joking. Wouldn't know it's an 93 fought the opti would turn on the fans.

What brand is the “new Opti”?

DTC 16 sets when the ECM doesn’t see the low resolution pulse signal from the cam position sensor in the Opti. Basically, requires the low res pulse signal to be missing for at least two crank revolutions (as determined by counting high resolution pulses) before it sets the code. When that code sets, the ECM shuts down the fuel system. Has to be a very brief, intermittent loss of signal for it to feel like a “stumble”. If it’s running, it’s a “stored” code.

And no other codes? I know 94 and newer doesn’t turn on the SES light for DTC 16. Apparently 93 does???

It is a delco. No other codes and when I rev it up the SES goes off. I did find a broken wire and fixed it . Looked like it was arcing on the AC bracket. I totally spaced on the fact the gas is a year old... I'm so frustrated that the car is not running and not thinking clearly
