Motor noise/clunk LT1
Hello
I have a 1996 LT1 firebird.
I have a noise which I think is on the passenger side.
The car has a new water pump
I took the belt off and can still hear the noise.
It sounded like it was coming from rockarms but they seem to be running. I do not know the history of the motor. I was surprised to see roller rockers.
The car seems to have oil pressure I do have CEL for Crank position sensor
If you watch the video below you can hear it. I think it sounds like it washing machine with shoes in it.

Sounds like a rod knock to me.

I was going to say exhaust leak as well. but rod knock maybe just rev it a bit it should make a more rivmic sound on declaration but that can be the big end

It seems to be on the top under intake sounded like running through valve cover.
Where could the exhaust leak be?
I will try to run it and check the oil pressure.

OK i tightened a couple exhaust manifold bolts because I was going to change them.
Put the valve covers back on.
Put heat loose heat shield back in place.
Oil pressure was 60 on start up and I did not see it go below 20 when idle and hot.
I dont hear it or hear as much

Hard to tell over the internet but I can still hear a knock in the videos. I would drain the oil and cut the filter open at this point.
