Cam Dowel Pin
Is there a way to get the cam dowel in out, while the cam is in the car? I noticed today the pin in mine is sitting below the height of the cam bolts. That means my opti was being driven by the cam bolts and not the pin. The pin is sitting an 1/8" or less out from the front of the cam. I can't get anything to grab on to it. There is just not enough pin to grab. I don't know how they drove this thing for years like this. The timing has probably been off since who ever cammed swapped it years ago. If the cam has to come out, i'm putting a smaller one in it. It currently supposed to have a Lunati 237/242@.050 .525/.525 110 LSA in it, too big for stock CI in my opinion

I would say that cam has to come out. Even with it out it doesn't look like there is enough to grab onto to pull it out the front.
