Possible Opti Fix
Just thought I'd pass this on. For the last week, my car has been throwing a High Resolution code and breaking up at high rpm. Just for shits and grins, I decided to pull off the vacuum line on top of the opti and spray electronic parts cleaner in it and see what happens. I sprayed is for a few seconds and let it sit for 10 min or so. It took a few more cranks than normal to fire up but after it did, the check engine light went out, and all other symptoms went away. It's not idling smoother and pulls hard all the way to the shift point.
Just thought I'd pass on something to try before committing to replace the opti.95 Cyber Grey Formula

It sounds like it's actually a pretty good temporary fix the main issue would be wise oil getting into the optispark but again if you are able to clean it out every once in awhile that's actually not a bad idea.

I figured its worth a shot if you're about to tear it down anyway.
