    Default AFR 210 vs AI Trickflow 215

    Looking for new heads for my 396 and I'm torn between these 2. Anyone have any experience with them? Car is a full weight street car with a T56.

    Just curious what the decision on this was? I know the thread is a few months old now but I've read some horror stories of Trick Flow's valvetrain geometry. Great flowing cylinder head but if it's going to prematurely wear out valve guides because the rockers won't align on the valves even with adjustable guide plates, also have read that the machine work on them causes pushrods to jump out of lifters. Curious here?

    I've had my AI 215's for years now. No problems with lifters, PR or guides. The machine-work and product were top notch!

    Running LE Trickflows. The guide plates that came with them had to be ground a little bit to go a hair closer together, but other than that no issue.

    AI 212 TFS heads here, 520 RWHP NA. I'm happy with them but since I've converted to a single plane and SR cam I've been curious if I've out grown them.

    AFR 210's have great flow numbers but also have their issues with quality control and rocker arm alignment. I don't have any experience with Trick Flows so I can't say one way or another.
    See this thread that involves AFR210's;

    Oh I never actually finished the thread because my photos kept disappearing. The aggravation was just too much for me.

    FYI For anyone trying to go AI, find them used. Otherwise go thru Karl Ellwein, he can get them quicker
