Been slow progress but I have been working on getting the 8.8 fabbed up with the help of a friend. Should have it squared away soon.

Well 8.8 build is done, went with midwest chassis works lower control arms and panhard bar. Used a spohn adjustible tunnel mount torque arm. Moser 31 spline axles and 4.10s put about 10 miles on it. 4.10s made a huge difference cant wait to get it to the track and dialed in.

Well after a good launch on the street the spohn torque arm failed and took out the drive shaft. Stuffed it in the trailer and gonna forget about it for a few weeks.

Used to be ebay x pipe and turn downs. Hacked it up today using just the bullets and turn downs now. Hard to see in the pics trailer is dark

Is it possible the u-joint/yoke failed and took out the torque arm?

The way it felt was the torque arm snapped flipping the rear to a wild pinion angle relieving the u joint of its duties. It's a solid u joint no zerk fittings 1330 conversion joint. It shouldnt fail.
