    Default Bye Bye G8

I was getting mildy bored with my G8 GXP, namely due to the fact that every common G8 problem i had in literally 5k miles of ownership. it put a bad taste in my mouth, and the car didnt really hold any emotional attachment to us. Yeah the kids loved having a back window to stick their arm out of, and the spaciousness was nice, but i really jumped the gun and bought it when i really wanted a cts v2. even modded the ls3 was fast, but it doesnt have that torque that a big car needs.

i have been eyeing the gen 6 camaros since they came out, but was financially out of reach for many reasons. In the summer i went to Petco and saw a SS 1LE roll in, and fell in love with them even more.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, got in the G8 to drive the kids to their mothers, and the sunroof was rattling out of nowhere. Then it started leaking, that was the last nerve. I started looking around for a gen6 camaro ss. I found one at a dealer 10 minutes from my house, had a day off, so took a ride over. Went for a ride and i was hooked. got the G8 appraised, they offered me more than i wanted anyway, plus threw some on top for the parts that were on it (i was going to leave it stock). After really talking it over with my fiance, we decided to do it since it was pretty much show up in g8, leave in camaro, payments changed but thats it. so, here it is.

2016 1ss with 14k miles. has extended warranty via gm, plus lifetime powertrain warranty via the dealer. Yes it had the engine rebuilt at 9k miles due to a failed oil pump (its a early 16 production), but other than that its in pretty good shape. A8 is the only concern due to the torque converter issues, but the car has the warranty so yeah. previous owner put these 19" wheels on it with 285 front/305 rears. i think its lowered too.

I just wish the insides were nicer. I can't get over the interior, it's horrendous to me. The outside is sharp......though it took some time for the 6th gen to grow on me. But nope, can't move past the interior. I can safely say I'll never personally own one.

I love the interior, except for the lack of storage, and the fact that the back seats are so deep. if they weren't as deep there would be alot more room.

The dash feels very iroc to me

the biggest complaint about the whole car, given the fact that I'm short, is the height of the window/door. no guido gold chain wife beater arm hanging out for me lol
