Well if u Do an aftermarket bumper skin like mine for example... u have to compress both bumper shocks... so look at it as the work is halfway done...

after a long day running around for parts for @Ltconvert and giving @popo8 a hand reclocking his procharger, i got home and proceeded to attempt to shove the motor into the car. was trying to get it done before the ice/snow comes today so i can get her in the garage.

we accomplished this, but man, it was a fight. i made 2 mistakes. 1 i did not move the motor mount bracket on the pass side forward (impala its staggered) and it probably would have worked if i left the passenger side frame mount in the 6cyl spot. i then flipped the passenger engine side bracket forward, but it wouldnt line up on the ears on the frame mount. the info i read on thirdgen.org was wrong. i mildly freaked out (it was 24f outside, 4 hours into this, everyone cold). then i went and dug thru the barn. Ended up remembering that a buddy gave me sbc engine brackets for a gbody (for sluttycutty). Looked a little online quick, and they are the same as the v8 third gen brackets. swiped one got it on the passenger side and then fought for another hour lining it up, but its in now.

Now i have decisions to make regarding wiring. i can get the 4th gen harness mated to the 3rd gen harness for a chunk of change, or just go standalone engine harness and add my own gauges. cost of each comes out the same (factoring gauges in), but it would be a brand new harness as a stand alone (less problems to trouble shoot in my mind).

got some lower control arms, relocation brackets, and torque arm from a buddys 4th gen partout

CPT Turbo 350 manual valve body, 3.42 10 bolt (rip), ProTorque 9.5" 3200, and a Nitrous Outlet plate kit. Anyone got an idea of what it should run?

Bigger torque converter if making drag car.

And, as far as PCM/harness, Holley Terminator X, ~$1000 and then grab some 24x sensors.

Started taking stuff off. Removed the og drum open rear. Whats amazing is every control arm bolt, shock bolt, even sway bar endlinks came right out without a fight or an impact or a persuader.

gotta drop the tank, get new tank, make brake lines for new rear, and put back together

got my lca brackets, got stock v6 tank out. debating to slap rear in so its a roller and get rollbar welded in now, or buy aeromotive 340lph pump/fuel tank and make it run sooner.

It may or may not be fast enough for the rollbar to be "required" initially, but my eventual plans will require it on either spray or the p600b/ellwein plans. I want to be right where im at in @Ltconvert car in this, bottom 11's high 10's by summer/early fall.
