Our forecast looks the same and it hasn't rained yet. I would like to see that 90 degree on Saturday swap with the 83 degree on Thursday.

It doesn't matter if there is an active volcano erupting on the big end, September 1st at 8am I am paying for the track and whoever shows up is racing for some money. Let's see who can 60' the best in a canoe.
I will never cancel an event again.

It seems like we go though this every year. I can't recall a year where the weather forecast was actually decent. We got boned hard last year. The original date (September 2nd) was cancelled by the track. We didn't have a choice. The second date (November 4th) was cancelled by us on the recommendation of the track. That very same day, they ran 3 events that had previously been rained out weeks prior. We were misled and what would have been a great day of racing went down as the only cancellation in the history of the event. There were a lot of hard feelings over it and it's something I don't want to have to deal with again.
