    Default Electric Water Pump Question

I posted this in the forced induction forum and thought maybe It would be more appropriate here since it's more of a water pump question.

Took the car out for the first drive today..... I had concerns with the water pump and temperature of the motor due to how close the exhaust housing and down pipe are.... I tried to wrap the downpipe and exhaust housing as good as I could.... after about a 20 minute easy drive, the exterior motor temp was 190.... which I'm sure is OK.... but what happens when I take this ting for a serious drive!!!.... has anyone ever ran a a remote water pump??

any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Wow that is really close. Exhaust driven boost im guessing. Well pump is designed to pump coolant around 200 deg so... Just keep an eye. Sure wouldnt daily drive it. Unless your like me and only drive 2 miles to work one way.

I don't think you should wrap the w/p. But that wrap looks good I'd just keep an eye on it. Dang turbo is pretty close though. I've seen alot turbo application s in tight spaces on these yachts I work on. With the right wrap should work just watch it.

It's not how fast you mow. It's how you mow fast.

Thanks for the replies.... I just ordered a temp warning light, so if the WP stops the light will let me know.... just in case I take my eyes off the gauge!!.... also, this is a twin scroll exhaust housing... I'm looking at converting to a stainless race housing which is much smaller.
