Default NEW! Lt1 firebird taillights.... kinda...and painted hood

My taillights had the usually delaminating look going on and I couldn't stand it. I bought the stickers to apply over the lights and here is the finished product! They look amazing.
It took a little time to get all the stickers on but you dont have to make them perfect but still took about an 20 mins per taillight to apply the stickers.
First I wet sanded them down with 1000 grit, cleaned them, applied stickers and since I was painting my hood at the same time I used regular base/clearcoat on them and they turned out AMAZING! Sorry for the upside down pictures

They look fantastic now, but my question is this.......was this fix just an external band aid for an internal seal issue, and the delamination of the lens is going to continue? That looks to me like the outer lens is separating from the housing and moisture is intruding. If that's the case it will continue to get worse.

No this will permanently fix the lights. The only part of the lenses that can de-laminate is the Black area behind the lense, since that is all painted over now you will never see it again. The lights do not leak or have any sealing problems, it was just the black checkerboard coming apart inside the lights.
