What is your most trusted brand of 5 point racing harness? I have some G force brand harnesses in the car but they are getting a little dry rotted They were the least expensive from my local dirt track racing shop but I didn't know If there was something better out there brand wise

First, they should have SFI 16.1 certification (or SFI 16.5, but that's overkill). Second, you need to recognize that the belts have date tags showing the manufacture date, and are only certified for 2 years. The Nylon 6.6 strap typically used for harnesses loses up to 80% of its strength over 2 years exposure to sunlight, or other elements of outdoor exposure. Tracks w/ strict tech inspection may enforce this. Others may never check.

I've always used Simpson harnesses and helmets.

I use g-force 5pt cam lock, I send them in every 2 years to g-froce and have them redo them (saves me a little bit of $$$) all the tracks I run requires them to be up to date and will make you run slower then 11.50 if they are expired

I like and use RJS stuff. As long as it has the 16.1 spec they're just going to be personal preference. Most manufacturers allow you to send in your belts for re-certing. they'll reuse the hardware but replace the webbing.
