Thanks I've got a 72 firebird I'm starting on, (ONCE I SELL MY 94) and have been thinking about doing a carb intake lt1.

I should have specified lol. I would run a carb intake with throttle body, main reason would be to keep the shaker hood scoop functional.
When its done it will look like this.....

What wiring setup did you go with or is that a custom harness?

Thanks. Used Factory harness and made my own fuse panels. Pcm is in the glove box

Looks great!, I also have a 68, no where near as nice... maybe one day. But I am also looking to swap. I have 2 complete Lt1's, one out of a 93 camaro, the other out of a 93 firebird... anything I should know about this process. I'm new to it all, and looking for any help I can get.

Just make sure you use D-port headers. I use the shorty style. Other than that, it's the same dimensions and bolt pattern as a regular SBC. Awesome motor. Are you going to use standard or auto tranny?
