    Default Wanting more traction

Will a 275/45/16 fit without hitting the frame or upper arms on the rear. I plan on using OE 16x8 rims, I have mounted 275's on 8 rims. Thanks guys.

275 was the factory width on the SS, WS6 and Firehawk. Ditto on the 25.6” diameter. Yes, those cars ran 17” wheels, but it’s only the tire section width, diameter and offset the determines what works. Shouldn’t be any problems on the stock 16” wheels with their 55mm offset. Many run 315’s in the back, a bit tight, but possible. No “upper arms" in the back.

Finding a 275/45/16 is tough. Only 1 or 2 tires available and they are drag radial. I was hoping for a street tire first can't find any 285/40/16's either.

I thought you wanted to know if they would fit... not where to find them. I've only seen comp tires in that size.

Installed some boxed BMR lca's. And purchased a set of 17x9 SLP-SS 10 spokes so that I can go with a 275/40/17 (stock size) for added traction. Next on the list will be LCA relocation hangers. Thank you Injuneer. I've been learning alot about my f body lately.
