New User
I've been trying to find a forum that focuses more on LT1 cars and I found this one by searching how to swap the LS1 shaft into an LS1 car. By the way, if anyone can pick up a shaft and modify it, i'll pay you well for it.
I have a 1996 Camaro SS. 6spd, 135k miles. SLP #1720. Current mods are as follows:
-MGW short throw shifter
-Speed Engineering LT headers/ORY/cutout with stock SLP 2OTL exhaust
-LS1 center console swap
-walbro fuel pump
-brakemotive drilled/slotted rotors
-bmr sfcs
-hotchkis LCAs
-bmr front/rear swaybars
-k&n CAI
-bmr adjustable pandhard bar
-Koni SA shocks
-brand new Nitto 555G2's all around
There's probably more but i'm forgetting at the moment. I'll add to the list as needed. Anyway, here she is.
These were taken before the header install.....
After header install and EGR/Air delete:

Next plans will include window tint, then this fall/winter i'll be doing a LE1 heads/cam install. Can't wait! I've had 5 Fbody's in my life and this is my favorite one by far.

That car looks like it's been well cared for! Very nice! What makes you choose the LE1 setup versus the LE2 setup? Who is going to tune it?

I'll have a local shop tune it, dynosport here in Lincoln or maybe The Shop.
I don't need anything to radical, and I want to prolong the life of the car as long as I can. Although it runs pretty strong for an LT1 so I don't see it quitting anytime soon. It also has a centerforce clutch and a lower mileage t56 that the previous owner swapped out because the syncros were shot.
