Peak hp may improve , but torque will suffer. In theory sounds great but unless you running a big sbc (big as in 420+) you may be disappointed at the outcome. Hence , why I never converted a super Vic. Looking for plenum volume or plenum velocity? Kind of like heads , big flow numbers mean jack at .700 if .200-.500 suffer. I mean I ran 9.34 with heads that only flowed 304cfm peak ,although that was at .500 lift . Just giving a example : of sometimes you give up one place to maybe gain just. Little somewhere else. If you did do the swap by all means give post up any new results.....

Thanks for the post Joe. I haven't swapped yet, but it's wintertime here in the Northeast. I have a Holley Strip Dominator being worked on right now. I will post up results, good or bad, when springtime rolls around. The good news with intake manifold swaps, is they aren't difficult to undo if they don't work....lol

Absolutely.. correct for as easy of a swap it is .. as I said I'm not saying you won't gain... your combo may want more plenum volume.. I've seen some combos lose a low and midrange torque.. depends really on your whole setup. How it would affect 1 vs. another.. quite possible you could find a golden egg.

You have to factor in what you are using the car for as well. If it's a drag car with a big converter say 5000+, then sacrificing some torque down low won't make a bit of difference.
