IGL coatings are all professional grade and you would need to be approved to use them. When I first got into coatings I started with Carpro Cquartz. Coatings are starting to gain traction and are become more mainstream so there are a ton of fly-by-night companies jumping in and putting out terrible products. If it is something you want to get into I would recommend sticking to well known brands like Carpro, Gyeon, or Gtechniq. The biggest things with coatings are the prep work, flash times, proper leveling of the coating, and making sure you allow enough cure time in between coats. Flash times/cure times can be alittle tricky based on temperature and humidity. Generally speaking the hotter it is the less work time you will have. On the opposite end of the spectrum if it is too cold the coating will take a long time to flash/cure.

I have also seen a lot of people swearing by McKee's 37 Hydro blue. I have not used it yet but it looks very easy to use and from what I have seen works well.

All of the brands you listed receive high praise! I am working with a few companies right now in my selection process. I am leaning more towards Kenzo/IGL.

Have you seen the $10 ceramic on Amazon? A few people actually tried it and posted results in Obsessed Garage. I bought it as well to try on a set of Vette reproduction wheels I have. Because why not! Haha

ive seen those but dont trust them. I basically went from Carpro to IGL. Now that I am a master installer for IGL I am thinking about approaching Carpro as well for certification. My main goal right now is IDA (International Detailing Association)

Have you talked to any of the mentors or owners of IGL yet? If not message me
