That's a NIGHT & DAY difference. When something is that bad, do u charge the customer more, or is a detail a detail and the price fixed?

I increase it. More time/product=more money. Most of the time for bad ones I'll give them a range. This one was about $600.

Thanks! This one was a huge project. The guy who owns the shop I work with occasionally absolutely killed it. I helped out on a good bit of the correction. The paint was trashed and super soft. These are befores

Looks good. Hey I've got a question. What besides rubbing alcohol removes tree sap?

IGL Tar, or any tar remover you prefer. I have also had luck with Goo Gone.

This is most likely going to be the hardest detail to date. This numbers matching 1957, factory AC, Buick Roadmaster was sent from Arizona to New York where it was covered with a tarp. As you can see moisture built up inside of the tarp and caused various degrees of rust. The vast majority is surface rust, but there are some deep chips on the hood. The owner understands that the vehicle will never be showroom quality and expects it to have some patina when I'm done. He also is aware that the rust very well could come back, regardless of what I do. I'll be starting on this boat next week!

I'm curious, what did you use to fix the pillars on that black charger? Those things looked TRASHED.

Compound with a microfiber pad and polish with a medium cut pad

Before and afters for the '56 Roadmaster I posted. It got a wash, chemical decontamination, compound, Meguiar's #7 soak, Angelwax Enigma AIO, IGL Premier, IGL Wax, IGL Enhancer, and chrome polish. It's far from perfect and there's a lot of patina left but its a huge improvement and the original paint is now well protected for the winter.
