Default Vette LT-1 guru's (Gen II)

Looking for some info. I have a line on a Vette LT-1 motor, 30k miles, and would like to know:

    1) Were they all 4 bolt main

    2) How can I tell without dropping the pan if it is.

    Thanks
    Mike

Yes all 4 bolt main, just pull oil pan LOL. Or get a cheap bore cam off amazon that connects to your phone for 12 bux and pull the oil drain plug and look

They are all 4 bolt main from everything ive ever read. Doesnt mean they are stronger, as the outside 2 bolts that make it a 4 bolt go thru the thinnesr part of the web.

In my op, a splayed 4 bolt block is stronger

A splayed 4 bolt is stronger than the stock 4 bolt main corvette lt1.
All corvette Lt1s are 4 bolt mains.

I'm just checking in case I get this other engine, and it would not be a big powerhouse, like to see 350 or so horse, 400 would be nice but I need to pass tail pipe sniff so that might not be possible.

    Thanks

Thru a 6 spd you may be able to do it with the right combo and a lean tune for emissions, good tune for power mode lol

400 is pushing it while passing the sniffer. I can't recall ever seeing it done.

Well either way if I go that route I will drop the pan and see exactly what's going on.

    Thanks for all the input
