    Default What is this sound

Today I noticed my car making an obnoxious sound. Only can really hear it when under very slight acceleration, like 600 RPM. Sort of a grinding/rattling sound. Sort of sounds like the cat, but I was also thinking it might be the heat shield, any thoughts?

Also noticing it seems to be happening when the car is warmed up and driven, but once it's cooled down it's not really noticeable

Just to be sure... with the car off... grab a rubber mallet and hit the exhaust near the cat. If u hear the noise its the heatshild on the cat... if not... hit the floor... it will prob be the heatshield between the floor and cat.
