Default 14/15 Challenger SRT8 Vs. LE1 Trans Am!!!!

Ran into a 14/15 SRT8 challenger on the freeway today. We ran about 4 or 5 times along with a little messing around. Every time I pulled on him. I was surprised how much I was able to get on him.

I still have 3.23's with my 6 speed as well. LE1 Heads/cam and exhaust. The usual.

We did a run from about 60 in 3rd gear for me and I put about 1.5 cars on him to the top of 5th gear. One of the runs I started in 4th and pulled on him again.

Another time, He was behind me and tried to swing past me in the next lane, I could see him get the jump. Threw it into 3rd when he got to my back wheel and stopped his pull even with his jump start. haha.

I didn't think they were that slow especially with my god awful long 3.23's. Im glad my ole' LT1 can still hang with the new big boys of the muscle car world.

They aren't slow. An SRT8 Challeger has 485hp and weighs 4200lbs. They typically run real high 12's to low 13's. You have a 12.60 car. You're probably 375hp and 3200lbs.

I know it's still a fast car compared to most cars on the street. I never ran into a srt8 before. It's a big old heavy boat but that extra 100 hp I thought would have helped him. If it was just a regular challenger I wouldn't be that excited about my car but since it was the big dog of dodge it makes me a little more happy, you know. 392 hemi.

Either way I'm happy and now I can cross Mopar off my list. Next is to see how I do against those damn coyote 5.0's.
