Supporting Memberengine bay painting poll
I called my paint guy today about having him paint the engine bay while the motor is being rebuilt. I wanted white, he recommended black to make the motor pop, and I thought maybe a charcoal silver to match the outside. I am getting all the metal stuff(like ac lines, fuel rails etc polished) and the intake manifold, and intake elbow/CAI will be white, not sure what I want for the valve covers yet. Vote it up!

If you really want it to pop, I heard hot pink is in fashion.
I think white looks the best with polished or chrome pieces. It'll pop with black of course, but then you see every scratch.
When the time comes, I'll be painting mine blue, because that's the color scheme with my car. Black N' Blue.

Supporting Memberhot pink with light purple pin strip, or maybe something like 1980s clothes. I kinda feel the same with black, the motor will stand out, but really doesn't go with the color scheme of the rest of the car. Its already white so i figured it would be alittle less work, plus the lower half of the car is white. The silver is kind of a compromise, it would make the engine pop, and still go with the theme while the white parts on the car would stand out.

Supporting Memberpopo, yours look great and it goes with the color scheme of the car. I think thats my biggest gripe right now is that I spent months coming up with the paint scheme for my car and I don't want it to seem like I just threw black paint on the engine bay instead of putting thought into it like I have everything else. also those valve covers and the wire placement are sexy.

Polished/chrome over satin black is a great combo. I don't think it would look like an afterthought as long as the quality of the work is good. Maybe do the fuel line and wire tuck mods too. It would be clean and simple.
